ICEAI 2024 Proceedings

A book containing the proceedings and organisational details of ICEAI 2024 (presentation, programme, committees, etc.) has been edited.

This book has been published in open access so that the scientific community can have unrestricted access to its contents.

Proceedings ICEAI 2024 has been edited by the Kiobus Group in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair on Education, Research and Digital Inclusion.

Keynote speakers ICEAI 2024

ROGER AZEVEDO, University of Central Florida

Dr. Azevedo is a Professor in the School of Modeling Simulation and Training at the University of Central Florida. He is also an affiliated faculty in the Departments of Computer Science and Internal Medicine at the University of Central Florida and the lead scientist for the Learning Sciences Faculty Cluster Initiative. His main research area includes examining the role of cognitive, metacognitive, affective, and motivational self-regulatory processes during learning with advanced learning technologies (e.g., intelligent tutoring systems, hypermedia, multimedia, simulations, serious games, immersive virtual learning environments). He has published over 300 peer-reviewed papers, chapters, and refereed conference proceedings in the areas of educational, learning, cognitive, educational, and computational sciences. He is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and the recipient of the prestigious Early Faculty Career Award from the National Science Foundation.

 

SÉBASTIEN LALLÉ, Sorbonnes University

Dr. Lallé is an associate professor of computer science at Sorbonnes University in Paris (France). Before that, he was a postdoctoral research fellow and a research associate at the University of British Columbia (Canada), and an AI researcher at UME Academy Ltd. He received his PhD degree in computer science from the University of Grenoble (France) in 2013. His research is in human-centered AI, at the crosswalk of AI, HCI and Cognitive Science, with applications to education, public engagement, and information visualizations. He has won a Best Paper Award at IVA’16 (Intel. Virtual Agents) and was runner-up for Best Student Paper at AI in Education’13.

 

Mª PAZ PRENDES, University of Murcia

Professor of Educational Technology (Faculty of Education) at the University of Murcia (Spain). Director of the Educational Technology Research Group and Coordinator of the Inter-University Doctoral Programme in Educational Technology at the University of Murcia. Editor of ‘RiiTE Revista Interuniversitaria de Investigación en Tecnología Educativa’. Secretary of EDUTEC, Association for the Development of Educational Technology. Manager of the Education Committee of the State Research Agency (Ministry of Science and Innovation). President of Committee 22 (Educational Sciences) of the ACADEMIA Programme of ANECA.

 

GIANLUCA AMATORI, European University of Rome

Associate Professor of Didactics and Special Pedagogy at the European University of Rome, where he teaches ‘Special Pedagogy for Inclusion’ and ‘Special Didactics and Technologies for Inclusion’ in the Degree of Primary Education Sciences. He is Director of the Specialisation Course for Support Activities. For several years, he has been dedicated to the study of technologies for inclusion, educational robotics and Artificial Intelligence in inclusive education.
