ICEAI 2025: 2\u00ba Congreso Internacional de Inteligencia Artificial Educativa<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the first international conference to include the specific term “Educational <\/strong>Artificial Intelligence<\/strong>” (EAI<\/strong>). In doing so, we want to focus on the concept behind this term. It is not about dealing with Artificial Intelligence in an educational context, but about dealing with a specific type of AI. EAI has specific characteristics.<\/p>\n

EAI is a specialised branch of artificial intelligence. Is focused on developing systems and tools specifically designed for teaching and learning processes. Although it may seem similar to artificial intelligence applied to education, EAI has a more specialised approach. It is not limited to the generic use of AI tools in educational environments, nor does it only create solutions aimed exclusively at optimising educational dynamics.<\/p>\n

“EAI” is a transformative approach that redefines the fundamentals of how we think about learning and teaching by intrinsically integrating advances in artificial intelligence with pedagogical principles. More than a technology, “EAI” implies a new way of thinking about education<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The fact is that in recent years, several initiatives have emerged that explore the potential of this EAI. Although these experiences are still in their early stages, it is clear that EAI has the potential to revolutionize teaching and learning. However, to harness its benefits effectively, it is essential that we reflect and prepare ourselves on how to integrate it properly. We must not only focus on technological applications, but also on key issues such as teacher training, respect for privacy and equity in access to these tools. Therefore, meetings like this one, dedicated to EAI, are essential to share knowledge, discuss challenges and build a more solid and ethical educational future.<\/p>\n

The 2nd International Congress on Educational Artificial Intelligence (ICEAI 2025) arises as a response to the pressing need to discuss and analyze these critical issues in the field of Education.<\/p>\n

The theme of this edition is \u201cMinds Over AI – MIL in Digital Spaces\u201d.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/em>This is the slogan for Global Media and Information Literacy Week<\/u><\/a> organised by UNESCO. ICEAI 2025 is listed among the partner activities in this edition of UNESCO: see section \u2018Spain\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This congress is not only an opportunity to keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in the application of AI. It’s also fosters an essential dialogue on how we can guide the evolution of AI to ensure that its benefits are maximized and its risks minimized when it comes to Education. It is crucial that we collectively understand how AI can be used to empower rather than limit, to include rather than exclude, thus ensuring a future that reflects our shared values and common aspirations.<\/p>\n

ICEAI 2025 stems from the MEEBAI Project<\/a>: A Methodology for Emotion-Aware Education Based on Artificial Intelligence. The funding entity is the Generalitat Valenciana, Conselleria d’Innovaci\u00f3, Universitats, Ci\u00e8ncia i Societat Digital, Direcci\u00f3 General de Ci\u00e8ncia i Investigaci\u00f3 (convocatoria DOGV n\u00fam. 8919 \/ 05.10.2020), Project reference: CIPROM\/2021\/017.<\/span><\/p>\n

The MEEBAI project is led by Profs. Miguel Cazorla and Rosabel Roig Vila, Professors at the University of Alicante and directors of the research groups <\/span>Robotics, Vision and Intelligent Systems (RoViT)<\/a> &\u00a0Interdisciplinary Research in University Teaching – Education and Information and Communication Technologies \/ Inclusive Education (GIDU-EDUTIC\/IN)<\/span><\/a>, respectively.<\/p>\n

Prof. Rosabel Roig-Vila also directs the UNESCO Chair in Education, Research and Digital Inclusion<\/strong><\/a> at the University of Alicante. This Chair promotes the organisation of the Congress within the framework of the International Observatory of Educational Artificial Intelligence<\/a><\/strong> (IO-EAI). Created in 2025, this observatory aims to consolidate this Congress as one of its main annual activities and reinforces the Chair’s commitment to research and innovation in the field of educational artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

The main objective of ICEAI 2025 is to provide a space for reflection on the possibilities offered by Educational Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n

During this meeting, researchers from the fields of computer science, psychology and education will share their knowledge and experiences on how the application of technological systems can be key to empower learning spaces.<\/p>\n

Participants will be able to explore a wide range of initiatives. In addition to expert presentations, there will be space for interaction and discussion. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and network with other professionals, researchers and people interested in this field.<\/p>\n

In addition, there will be the opportunity to participate as speakers in the scheduled paper sessions. Contributions received will be evaluated by double peer review and those accepted will be included in the conference program.<\/p>\n

In short, this conference is a space where we aim to promote research, talent, learning, collaboration and innovation in the field of technology and active aging.<\/p>\n
